Sherwood Homes
Sherwood’s development began at the end of World War II and between that time and 1960 almost half of the residences were constructed. Most of the homes are single family and most are owner occupied. There are also a few apartments and duplexes here.
Residents have access to medical services and shopping facilities at the Meadowlark Health and Shopping Centre southwest of the neighbourhood in Meadowlark Park. The Jasper Gates Shopping Centre can be reached by travelling north on 149th Street. One school services the area, the Sherwood Elementary School, part of the Edmonton Public School System.
